BX8 monitor setup questions

OK I know this sounds kind of lo Fi but I sold my big DynAudio Munro monitors because I have to move in a few months and I couldn't even lift them. Sad really.

Anyway.... Now, I have these cheap little BX8 monitors left and I have placed them on an open platform above me slanting down sort of like on shelves. When I set the controls to flat my mixes sound bright and without lo end and little lower mids. I just need to know what the best switch selection for realistic pro monitor tone on these might be as they have a three position field effect switch which changes the sound quite a bit.

I probably need subs I would think too but a sub that would keep up with a pair of 8" woofers. Please advise for best sound.

Sounds like it's phase cancellation from standing waves. Turn up the bass until you like it, then burn a CD and go listen to it in your car. If the bass is boomy there, then that's your answer.

Thanks but it's not phase. I would recognize that immediately.
It's positioning but I don't have the manual any more so i need to know the correct position of the enhancement switch.

thanks

............and those switches are there to adjust for phase cancellation due to standing waves, full-space....half-space....etc.

I have a pair at work and they are far from little.
