I have 24 tracks of audio wave files to import into DP. The audio imports into the soundbites window. Then I have to drag 1 soundbite file at a time into the audio tracks. How do you get audio files to import directly into empty audio tracks when you import audio files from a cd? How do you drag and drop 24 soundbite files into 24 empty tracks.
Thanks

You can't. It's a feature we've asked for many times. Send a note to MOTU.

Re: Audio Import directly into empty tracks
good question.
i don't think you can just import the tracks straight from the cd, at least as far as i know ou have to go thru the soundbites thing.
i know you probably tried the shift-clicking thing.
and don't forget to make sure your soundbites match your bit depth, otherwise conversion is in order, or not.
peace!

The "shift-clicking thing" puts them all in the same track, on top of each other. Then you have to drag each one to its own track anyway. It's really only slightly better than dragging each one in from the soundbites window one at a time, in that you don't have to be quite so unsure as to which soundbite you're dragging in - the hand is almost twice the height as the lines in the soundbites window, sometimes making it easy to accidentally grab the wrong one... clunky for sure!
