896 manual and open source software

I'm new to this forum but have already enjoyed reading quite a few posts. I dig the community.
Does anyone know where I can download the manual for the original motu 896? I can find alot on the HD but no manual in pdf format for the 896 original.
I am a longtime Sony Vegas user, and I'm curious about open source software options. Can anyone make some recommendations?
