I have a snare sample that i want use to enhance a snare already recorded in a full drum performance. How can i get DP to do this? I have tried the trigger plug, but i have to go in and do so much editing i may as well do it by hand (ughhh). Is there a way using the new beats and tempo stuff? any thoughts? I am pulling my brains out trying to figure this one out. Any help would be great!! Thanks!!!

doing it by hand is fun!!!

at least that way you can make sure the phase is correct, because programs like soundreplacer go for transients, which are not as essestial to be exact as the phase is... the crack is gunna crack if the 2 snares are a few samples different, but if the phase is out, there goes that nice woody texture, or body, ring etc...
if you every get a job as an assistant engineer or Protools operator you will get plent of practice at this!!!
im not sure i answered your question... sorry

There shouldn't be phase issues if the two snares are from different sources.
Drumagog looks interesting:
