Can't get MIDI interfaces to work

First, I'm totally new to MAC world.

I have a MIDI Express XT with the new ROM and a Traveler.
My MAC Pro has a Bootcamp partition with Windows XP64.
On the Windows partition, audio and MIDI works perfectly.
This should mean that the interfaces, the cables, the inputs are all OK, or not?

On the Leopard partition I cannot get MIDI to work.
If I launch MOTU Clockworks, Main stage (From Logic 8 suite), Vienna Ensemble, always get the message that no MIDI is available.

The profiler sees the MOTU Express and a MOTU technician has confirmed that I have the new ROM.
In the Audio-MIDI-setup, MIDI Express XT and Traveler are greyed.

Hi

Instal up to date and system compatible MOTU Audio Setup if you already didn't.

Here is OS X Audio MIDI Setup info:

Thank for your replay but I already have installed the last MOTU drivers and got a green check-sign that they have been installed properly.

I think that it is a silly thing that all of you give for granted but maybe I miss.

I have worked with ATARI for 11 years and then with Windows for 7 and never had problems.
Is it or not a perfect world here in MACland?
I'm getting crazy.

Here, too, since Leopard on a MacPro, I can't have access to the tab MIDI from Utility System Audio & MIDI and I have the latest drivers for MOTU MIDI Express XT.
I do not understand anything because it works still under Tiger 10.4.11. So it's coming from Apple _

Could it be the language you are using on your computers.
When you install applications or drivers set the language to English.
Other languages can create failures and trouble.

This is just what I can think of.

today a friend of mine has borrowed an old and "humble" TASCAM US-122 to me.
I have loaded the drivers and it worked right-away!
I had a look in the Audio-MIDI-setup and the TASCAM is clearly colourful and not greyed-out like my MOTUs!
How can it be that I cannot install 2 "mighty" MOTU interfaces!?!?

I am in the same boat. I've reinstalled the drivers. I've checked the system profiler and found my Express XT sitting there happily...doing nothing. Audio MIDI Setup (and Clockworks) simply can't see it. I'm completely confused.

Since the Update in version 10.5.5. from Leopard, it was arranged and I now have access to MIDI settings _
What a miracle, thank you _ Apple
