SOME MINOR RECORDING ISSUES IN DP6

I am working on a project using 3-4 virtual instruments. All MIDI tracks have been set up and sound samples have been assigned.

1. As I press the up/down keys to record enable a specific MIDI track, a window pops up showing the assigned sample for that track loading again (when in fact, that has been assigned and loaded already). I record enable another MIDI track, and again the loading happens. Never had this problem with DP 5.1. With DP 5.1, once I have set up my virtual instruments and assigned samples per track, I'm good to go. No more loading of samples everytime I record enable a MIDI track.

2. When I record my entire sequence onto a stereo audio track, I don't hear the music being recorded. No audio playback as I record. The volume meter lights don't even light up. But the recording is successful. I can hear it during playback - but not during recording.

Are there settings that I have to tweak to solve these? :?

In addition to the stereo audio track you have created to recording your entire sequence to, create an Aux Track and whose input source is the same as the stereo audio track you are bouncing to. You should be able to monitor through the aux track.

Thanks for the tip.
Is this a new thing with DP 6. I never had to open an additional AUX Track (aside from my main mix stereo track) to monitor recording in DP 5.1 .
I'll check it out.

The Input Monitoring setting, and Input Monitor track button.

Or what James suggested.

Thanks for the help guys. I was able to fix this problem by going to
setup/ configure audio system/input monitoring mode/ and enabling "monitor record-enabled tracks through effects".
