Old 1224 install : guess what, not working !

Ok so here's the story. I have a beautiful computer that's 6 month old, in it I installed a pci424 and plugged a 1224. All was working fine since january until yesterday. I just decided to move my computer from one place in my room to another place in my room. Got everything disconnected and reconnected again, but I forgot to plug the AC cord for the 1224. When I realise my mistake, I rebooted with the 1224 up & running, but the 44.1 LED never stop flashing. I thought "nevermind, I have to make a fresh install of windows xp".

So here I am, a fresh install of windows xp later, I install the driver for the pci424, I plug in the 424 card (in the same slot as before), I reboot, the card is working fine. Then I stop the computer, plug the 1224, boot the computer, and the 1224 is not recognized. I tried different audiowire slot, different pci slot, I tried different driver version, nothing worked. And NOTHING changed in my computer : same chipset, same motherboard, I didn't change any option at all. Still it's not working. I remembered having a hard time the few times I installed the motu (on other computers) but eventually I always figured out how to make it work. But not today.

So please help me, cause I'm in a need for this unit, and I'm beginning to think motu drivers REALLY suck. Even thinking about selling all this stuff and buy from another brand...

Perhaps the driver is not the problem at all. Perhaps the 1224 is simply malfunctioning. It is at least 6 years old at this point, right? Or maybe the hardware was damaged when you moved it.

I thought about that, but it seems highly unlikely : the pci424 works just fine, and the 1224 is racked, so I just moved the rack. It didn't fell, didn't bump on anything. I'm planning to test the motu on many pc tomorrow, and I hope it's not that, but until then I wanna try every idea people could have.
