Let's Post confirmed Tiger Problems....

Let us coordinate to see what we can confrim is WRONG with DP in Tiger or Tiger period.

1) Quiet beeping coming from dual G5 computer after install of Tiger (confiremd here-http://discussions.info.apple.com/webx? ... @.68add865
2) Memory spike problems resulting in audio drop outs. I have seen other posts here stating the same and I am having a bad problem with this. (for my system, see plug ins below)..MOTU reccomended changing read/write up to 200 from 150. And I have lowered my audio voice #'s to fit song. But before, all was fine at 150 and 99 voices. Definite DECREASE in capabilites.
3) The other problem I am having is stability, more crashes than before.

PS. as users confirm somewhat, problems in Tiger, I will amend the top list of "confirmed issues". While not wholly scientific, this could prove useful.
OK...next?..who would like to chime on in?...

Logic 7 seems to be fairly buggy. Issues playing through an 828 Mk II, when switching in AMS from built in to the 828. After a restart everything plays correctly, just a PITA.

I'm sorry ,typo on the previous post. I meant Quicktime 7. My apologies to Logic users.

I'm not using Tiger yet, so I have nothing to contribute. I'm just bumping this up to the top because I'm very interested in it. I'll go to Tiger when the bugs are worked out and people are reporting rock-solid improvements in performance.

Another bump; I guess I'll go Tiger when it's maybe, 10.4.3? I am LOVING the stability of my system at the moment (10.3.8), so no Tiger in my tank for now... :) :) :) :)

I've had quiet beeping coming from my G5 prior to installing Tiger so I'm not sure that Tiger is necessarily the culprit.

I'm cool with Tiger & DP for stability but have not moved and won't until I get an off switch for DCPUM and UAD1 is operational.

No Tiger for me yet.
10.3.8 hasn't crashed in 2 months.
It's finally better than tape.
I'm in Panther heaven.

Hey guys... SOMEBODY has got to install Tiger and try this dude out.

Ok... We're going to have to draft someone to be the guinea pig, and we'll sneak into his studio at night... er... at noon... and force-feed Tiger into his computer. Then sit here and wait for his complaints to start rolling in. ;)

Using Tiger and dp4.52 every time I open dp4 it analyses audio units and plug ins twice taking ages to load up and open files. apart from that so far so good

I am leaving Tiger locked in a cage with DP4.52 until the zoo keepers can teach them to get along with others.....

dunney, you need to trash some prefs, especially Audio Unit Info Cache. I'm running Tiger and DP4.52 and I have to say it's the MOST STABLE SYSTEM SO FAR! I have yet to have DP crash and I'm running it hard on a Dual 2GHz G5. So far it's purring...
