Hi everybody, I got my 828mk3 today and try to figure out how to record a signal with reverb into Apple Logic Studio 8.
When recording, I listen to a wet signal on my headphones but when I listen to the recorded track it's dry. The only way to record the wet signal seems to be using the reverb send on the outputs-tab in CueMix FX but this processes all output (and playback from the computer) with the reverb.
Any solution? What am I getting wrong here? What exactly is the split point for?
Another question: I want to have 3 different headphone mixes, is it possible to make them in the Mixes-tab and route them to a single analog out?
Thank you in advance!

May I ask why you would want to record the reverb in the first place? I use the built in effects on my 828mk3 for tracking in the headphones only. I will then add reverb during the mixing/mastering phase. Once you record a track with effects, there is no going back. There are wonderful reverb plugins built in to Logic. I am just curious ........

Re: 828mk3 reverb and mixes questions
I found that, in Cubase SX, if you go to devices/inputs, you'll find 2 ports dedicated to reverb (11 and 12). Enable the reverb ports and add a new audio track dedicated to just reverb. I chose port 11 in the track mixer and named that track "reverb". Record enable both the instrument track and the reverb track. After recording on both tracks simultaneously you can blend as much or little reverb by turning the "reverb" track's slider up and down. I haven't tried it yet but you should be able to adjust the EQ of that (reverb) track or add delay, etc. by going to the channel editing window (push "e") You do have to decide the type of reverb, tone, time, etc. from the motu because that you can't change once it's recorded. It was at least much nicer than the Cubase reverbs. I can't speak for logic's reverbs because I haven't heard them. At least you can blend it and it is not recorded on the dry track, only on the reverb track. I hope this helps 'cause it took me a long time to figure out

Re:
Does the 828mk3 not have 8 stereo mixes in CueMix FX ? ( like the 896mk3 )dclayton wrote:I'm just curious what's possible and what's not. But I just discovered the reverb/return inputs!
But what about having 3 or more different headphone mixes?
Click on the 'mixes' tab
Only stereo, just center the pan
Take care

Hello MOTUneers!
I am a new user and have silly questions. Unit is ULtralite Mk3 with CueMix. I want to add some compression/EQ to the recorded signal but just can't figure out how.
Help, anyone?
