Mach 5 vs Others

In another thread some of you gave me some good insight on my next purchase. (Special thanks to Mr. Frodo) I just got off the phone with Dave Roberts at MOTU and he has pretty much got me set on getting MachFive. Before I sign the check, is there anything I'm missing? Anything comparable in the same price range? Anyone using M5 and having serious problems?

Thanks
Phil

I was using hardware samplers for many years before this (Mirage - ESP, etc from Ensoinq mostly). I've had MachFive ver 1.2.3 for a few years and love it. The reports on ver 2 are extraordinary, I just don't need it just yet. But based solely on ver 1, I'd recommend MachFive without reservation.

I've got version 2 and it's pretty amazing. Perhaps I'm just slower than others here, but I'm still discovering cool stuff it does.

I have MachV and will be crossgrading to Independence Pro.

I'll miss the scripting, but overall, from what I've heard from their free version, it has better inbuilt sounds, works more reliably on a PC (not applicable to you, I know) and supporting VST effects is a massive plus.

so one negative, albeit on the PC platform.
