ELCO vs DB25

I'm trying to buy a 96pt TT patchbay for my new install.

I have someone offering me a TT bay with 90pin ELCO connectors on the rear for 200 dollars. I cant seem to find a snake with ELCO to XLR or TRS connectors for less than 700 dollars!!! EXPENSIVE

Or should I go with something like with that has DB25 connectors and I can buy DB25 snakes for about 100/cable.
