iTunes Playlist Preferences?

iTunes got all weird on me today (first time ever) and the cure ended up being rebuilding the library.

Along the way, I trashed preferences.

After it was back up and running, I noticed that my playlists were gone.

Thinking they were in the preferences, I closed iTunes, dragged them out of the trash, overwrote the new files in my Library and restarted iTunes.

To my surprise, my playlists were still gone.

Does iTunes keep playlists in the Library, or did I miss something?

You might want to peruse the Apple Support>Discussion>iTunes forums for a definitive answer. Sorry I don't have an answer for you.

I think that info is...was actually in your itunes database files, not preferences. I'm not positive, but I think I went through that before.
