nudging regions with video

Is there a way to nudge a region let' say a SFX and have the video step along with it? Many times I will spot a sfx into the sequence and want to line it up to specific point in the video For example footsteps or timed graphic sounds. How do you all spot regions to specific frames. is this something DP6 will have as an option.

If you enable the "Chase Graphical Edits" option under the Movie window's mini-menu, the movie will follow as you drag soundbites/notes/etc., and if you enable the "Chase Numerical Edits" option the movie will follow when you change an event's numerical value (such as in the Event List). The movie doesn't appear to follow nudging events with the arrow keys, though.

Thanks! Disappointing however. The more I dig into DP for post I am realizing that's it's just not for me.

yes this is the post pro forum - not so much traffic here tho really ?

u just select the bite and hit left right arrows - video moves...

also make a key for snap to marker on off..

ideally they would add a throw soundbite to wiper key.. ( choice of edge or sync point )

how about shift v left right arrows for accuracy...

don't forget 5 and 6 on num pad..

add marker ( i changed mine to enter on num as it closer to PT where I came from )

you can also drag markers and delete them in the conductor track

also another top SFX tip - is the clip gain command - i set mine to "g" can turn soundbite up to 80dB! no rendering and non destructive - much faster than faders..

sorry if you had already found some of this...

Selecting a bite and hitting left and right arrow keys does not work for me. That's what I want it to do.

sorry your right ! half asleep! combined 2 things in my dreams

try select your bite

now in the mini info ( top left of seq editor ) you should see the frame number of the soundbite start time - (you can go into the view time formats menu to show sync point too)

click on that number moves frame by frame both clip and video - it feels way nicer and more accurate than any other way to me..
