DP freezes from MIDI activity.

I have an older setup. a 400mhz g3,hui,MIDI timepiece av. Something has happened. Everytime I touch the faders dp freezes. I had a cheap MIDI keyboard controller and hooked it to the MIDI in on the timepiece. As soon as I touched a key dp froze.I guess that eliminates a hui problem, it semms like any MIDI activity freezes the computer.I cant find anything that looks wrong in the MIDI setup.I am stumped.If anyone has ever seen this or has any ideas I would like to hear them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello
I am assuming you are in DP 3. What version of DP 3.x are you running. If you are not on version 3.11, I would go ahead and get on this version. You can also try a hard reset of the MTP by holding down the panic key as you power the device on (I am not sure that is the issue though based on the fact you say just moving faders in DP also causes a freeze).
You may want to trash your prefs in System folder >preferences. Delete the DP prefs in this location then relaunch DP.

Thanks Bryan, I'll give that a try. The faders in dp work fine as long as I mouse them.It only freezes when I try to use my hui. As soon as any MIDI info touches the MIDI in on the mtp is when the freeze happens. I'll see when I get off work. Thanks for your help.
