make sure you dont have old versions of the waves app in your computer, trash waves plugs and prefs..re-install waves.

Since re-installing waves, 1 day without a crash..we'll see how more strenuous projects go.

after trashing every single waves related file on my system and reinstalling
the full version is working perfect. No beachballs at all.
G5 Dual 2 GHz
6 GB Ram
OS 10.4.11
DP 5.13
Waves 5.9.7
On my Macbook Pro it is working as well.

My experience is the same.
Sometimes just trashing the Waves prefs file will do it. That's been necessary for as many years as I can remember.

too bad so sad
there is still one bug. (it only appears, when waves plug ins are in use)
if you stop playback and relocate the transport cursor too fast. like immediately
DP will crash with a beach ball.

I used to get this all the time until I talked to waves and they recommended enabling the "run in realtime" setting on the plugs... according to 2 different waves guys "it is impossible to get a stable session in DP while NOT running in realtime"... they were right, atleast for me... I am running the latest version (not beta) hope this helps...

i don't ever want to run in realtime, pre-rendering is great, i wouldn't ever want to live without it again.

Im afraid my crashes were NOT handled by a re install.
I have had to resort to making all waves run in realtime which seems to resolve the problem so far.
So whos fault is this now? Waves or DP?

I had that problem constantly. Running Waves in realtime didn't help at all. I had to load the sequence into a new file along with the audio files and that fixed the problem. Not a great workaround, I know, but it worked.
