Help! MAS Plugins and Instruments missing after reinstall!!

Hello everyone,

Today i've been forced to setup a new, clean 10.5.2 Install, due to a backup failure.
After the installation of DP 5.13, i noticed that most MAS Plugins and Instruments that come with DP are missing (9 of 42 are correctly marked)!

Is there a way to get them back on track?

thank you in advance for your help.

I just did that successfully by installing 5.0 off the disc > 5.12 > 5.13.

It happens to me every once in a while. Then suddenly they pop back in again! I don't understand why or how!

I‘ve been asking for help through the motu tech links but they have not been able to help me.

Mr Soundwolf,

did you figure it out? I've also tried reinstalling all the updates cronologically but it didn't work or me. Then one morning they where all suddenly there again.

To Anders and mesaken:

I did also try installing the update in cronological order with the result that DP refued to launch.

Well, well, what the hell!

That is terrible!

I'm posting this to get your thread higher on the list.

I have a vague memory from last time when my plugs were gone and came back to me:
I started a new project and realized that some of the Master works plugs were gone. A few days later I opened an older project where I had used the MSEQ. And it was there! Then I opened the new project again and suddenly all the Master works plugs were avaliable again.

As if I reminded DP that it had some plugs it had forgotten.

This happened to me to. ParaEQ popped in and out of the list and MSEQ renamed itself to (mono)...
No problems since I set english as OSX default language

I think you'd have to delete all dp stuff off your drive and then reinstall starting with the 5.0 version, than 5.13. don't know if you need to put on the in between versions or not. I only put on 5.13 on my laptop and am missing many of the plugs too.

I don't have the 5.0. Mine came as 5.1. I've tried both the all-versions install and installaing 5.1 and jump to 5.13, which I believe is what motu recommends.

Next time it happens I will try the switch language tip from Mr Boraymond

Hi there,

This issue is solved! File Vault was the trigger!
Upgrade to DP 5.13 (in chronologigal order) in OS 10.4.11, switch to OS 10.5.2, change sytem language to english, turn of File Vault, repair permissions with the Installer Disk, an there we go!

thank you for your posts!

greetings from switzerland
