Can DP zoom text, waveforms & windows?

In choosing my LCD display specifically for DP use, I am wondering if 2560x1600 resolution would render text/waveforms too small to read comfortably (without squinting). 1920x1200 is the smallest I have used comfortably to date.

Can DP zoom text, waveforms & window contents (tracks, sequence, mixer etc)? Someone told me that DP can only zoom in one direction (horizontally? vertically?).

Thank you! Your advice will help me decide what monitor resolution to choose.

.

You can zoom in/out to the sample level. You can zoom in/out waveforms and MIDI horizontally and vertically. Not the text, though, but for that you can zoom using the OSX if you really have to.
