I was told by a MOTU themselves that I would be able to use The Library from my Native Instrument Symphonic Orchestra Gold Pro package... so naturally when I got my package in the mail and Happily installed it into my computer... I go to load one of the instruments and of course... ERROR could not find the samples... someone please tell me that the Motu guy was NOT wrong

This is just a guess, since I don't have the NI package, but I'd say you probably tried to open a preset. MachFive2 probably doesn't read the preset, or if it does, you probably have to show it where to find the samples. With most sample libraries, it's the raw samples that MachFive2 uses. I'll be honest with you; M5.2 is intimidating at first. I have had it since it came out, and I only just TODAY figured out how to do some things I've been trying to do since the beginning. I'll have to share those things with everyone at some point, but I still have more to learn before I can say that I've mastered it.

What I learned today proved to me that M5.2 is indeed a very powerful sampler, and that with its extreme capabilities, you can do a makeover on just about any sample-set. I took a pitiful saxophone sound, turned it into a breath-controlled instrument that matches the WX-5 wind controller, and I EQ'd it to have a much smoother tone than it had before. I had given up on that thing so many times I can't even tell you; but I went back one more time, and I finally "cracked the code" and got it to cooperate. Now I finally feel as if I know how to use it, and can make it very useful.

So don't give up on M5.2 yet. It may not use the presets of your NI instruments, but I'll bet it can use the samples, and if so, you can do a lot with those samples.

Yep. There's still more to learn, but I'm over the hump. It's all downhill from here.
