Moving Mouse Causes Noise On Traveler

Hi there,
I have a Traveler (and 2 896HDs) and they all have the same issue: moving the mouse or asking the computer to do some heavy thinking causes an electronic/static noise out of the speakers.
Mouse is a Logitec G5 laser (wired) but my old optical does the same thing
Firewire is on the motherboard by MSI
Quad Core Intel @ 2.4gHz, 4G RAM
Happens all the time regardless of software playback (or not)
Speakers are B&W Nautilus 805s and sub.
Here's my experimenting so far:
Move mouse, hear noise coming gently from speakers
play music (from any software), hear noise when mouse moves
change volume on traveler, noise unaffected (stays lightly audible even with the volume all the way down).
tried bus and outboard power, same.
tried different mouse.
tried with lcd monitors off.
turning off Traveler makes noise stop.
unplugging firewire cable makes noise stop.
moving firewire cable to PCI card does nothing.
three computers, three interfaces all the experience the same thing.
don't have a mac to try.
Any thoughts?
