"backwards tape" and other effects

I'm starting a major project in the studio in Jan. A couple of the pre-production notes ask for effects that I'm not sure how to do in DP.
One asks for a backwards tape for lead guitar and maybe drums ala Jimi Hendrix Are You Experienced.
Another asks if I have a way to simulate a pitch wheel for a slowed down drum sound or even a warped moment of everything ala Sexie Sadie.
This is a pretty big project so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm still running DP 4.6 on my dual processor G5 in System 10.39
I know it's not up to date but it is rock solid. I mean it crashes maybe once every 4 months. And this is with it running 10 hours a day! I've been so busy in the studio that I can't take the time to upgrade to the new OS and DP and then worry about my waves plug ins etc. not working.

Thanks

There's a reverse audio plug-in in DP.

I was thinking today of this plug, and wondering whether it would be worth rendering a bunch of stop FX in different keys before I ditch the PPC next year.
I've still, after a few years, not come across anything as simple and functional as this plug for this purpose:

As long as you're on PPC, you'll love me, otherwise you might consider me a tease. :oops:

EDIT: Sorry Bill, I see you posted that you're on a PPC.
I hadn't actually read your request, as E-Loo had PMd me specifically to invite my input; I've waxed lyrical about this plug many times. :D
Enjoy it mate!

Try this, It will blow your head off. Listen to the demo! You can even control all the parameters of a preset in realtime with a MIDI controller. Besides, it is complex, yet extremely easy to use.

I think you will solve a couple of problems with the built in sampler if you don't have another sampler VI... (the built in sampler probably came in v.5)

The backwards tape thing is easy with the reverse plug-in. (a file-based plugin).

I would also recommend the Soundtoys plug-ins. If your rig can handle it, it could probably be useful for you...

use the sampler to simulate jimmi's finger on the reel by liberal use of pitch shift - I use reason's sampler - the scream distortion has a tape compressor/distortion.

the reverse will reverse but it's gonna be constant pitch...

Thanks for the suggestions.
Does anybody know if the SFX machine works with system 10.3.5?
I know it's old but like I said it is rock solid and I don't have the time to upgrade and worry about what will and won't work. Especially when I'm in the middle of a few big projects.

Thanks

The Macintosh version of SFX Machine Pro requires:
* A PPC Macintosh, G3 or above
* OS X 10.2 or higher (VST and Audio Unit versions)
* About 10 MB available RAM (in addition to that required by your system, host software, etc.)
* About 10 MB available hard disk space
* 800 x 600 screen resolution or higher
* A VST 2.0 or Audio Unit host program

I looked on their website and it says it needs 10.3.9 for Pro and the RT version.
Maybe you have an older version.

Thanks
