Can't hear 192khz audio on 896...

I tried to play back a file recorded at 192khz this morning and I didn't get any audio at all. The meters in logic were bouncing, but I wasn't getting any sound. I initially imported the file into a 44.1 project and of course got the incredibly slowed down version, but once I switched to 192, I got nothing. the file plays in iTunes. Any suggestions?
I personally track at 44.1, so there may have been something that I'm missing, but I have a fairly good idea of what I'm doing, usually.

896HD. Are there different "sets" of converters for each sample rate? It seems that I've heard that before... maybe my 192khz converters don't work? that's probably horribly inaccurate.

Which outputs are you using for monitoring? A 4X sample rates (176.4kHz and 192kHz), the 896HD main outputs mirror the phones output. So you must set the track output to phones 1-2 in order to hear audio through the mains at 192kHz.

Sounds like I might be getting somewhere, that's good to know. So I can't have the output set to the normal stereo out? I'm not at home to test it, but I'll try that as soon as I am. Thanks!
