good question.
if you have a 4 bar loop and you slice it up and turn the speed down from say 100 bpm to 60 bpm will the slices follow th tempo without changing the key?
i need to find out b4 i take the plunge

Of course it can! That's the whole point of using the looplab...

You can go back and forth in between the normal sliced loop mode and the keymapped mode to adjust the slices to your liking. You can also ask machfive 2 to create a program with the mapped version where each key will contains a sliced sample so that you can treat each slice as a normal sample (but you can't go back to the looplab once you have created such a program)
Cheers

Can these loops then be exported as Rex files for me to load up in Stylus RMX!? That would be way too cool!
I really might have to look into Machfive II!

No, MachFive doesn't export as REX files. I'm pretty sure that ReCycle is the only program that actually exports REX files.

Yes - Recycle is the only app that can save a REX file

It doesn't write over the looplab preset, it saves a different one. You can still open the looplab preset then resave as separate samples if you wish. Of course, if you have extensive mods to the individual samples (filtering, lfoing, effects and the like) you'll want to:
A) have a looplab version
B) have a individual sample version with mods set
Then if you change the slices in A, save a new indi sample version (C). Open up B and overwrite the old samples with the samples from C. Bit convoluted but it does retain the mod settings.
C) have a dummy individual version, then import the samples into

Hi,
Once you create a program of a sliced loop and map to keys,is there anyway that you can adjust the start and end points of each sample on any given key,or would you have to enter back into looplab to do that?
Thanks.

Once you've created that program, the samples are independent, "normal" sample files, so you could move their sample start/end points inward, but not outward beyond the bounds of the file.
