Logic loses sync to MOTU

Hi Everyone.
I run Logic 5.5 with PCI 324 and 2 x 2408's MK11 sync'd via wordclock to a Yamaha O2R ADAT cards, on WinXP SP2, with an Intel 3.6 Ghz dual chip and 1gig ram.
Prevoiusly had this same setup on an AMD 1.7 Ghz, Win98 SE with no problems. Now, when running Logic for longer than a few minutes in loop mode, I get an error message: "Error while trying to synchronise Audio and MIDI.
Sample rate 425 recognized.
Check conflict between Logic Platinum and external device"
AM running all the latest XP drivers. But my suspicion is that the drivers are crappy, like MOTU's service backup.
Has anyone else running a similar setup had a similar problem? If so, let's keep in touch.
Thanks.
Claude.
