Losing Rewire Connection

I've PM'ed some people anout this but I'll also send a general help call.

Could any of you open a any project with reason rewired, make a MIDI track in DP assigned to a combinator patch in Reason, and then change the combinator patch a few times WHILE THE SEQUENCE IS PLAYING.

Do you loose your Rewire connection in DP. It happens to me almost every time and I can't figure out why. It only happens when the patch I'm changing is a combinator one.
Once the rewire connection is lost, the drop-down menu for the output of my MIDI track in DP show a lot of empty destinations...

Does this ring a bell somewhere?

I have had this problem when a particular Combinator patch is bad/corrupt.

Crash on load.

Have to restart.

Maybe check the patch itself first.

I'm having this problem RIGHT NOW! I signed onto this board tonight to see if anyone had any suggestions.

I don't even have to be playing a sequence. I can just be over in Reason auditioning new Combinators, and every so often, one will cause me to lose the connection. The only way to restore it is to quit both Reason and DP, then re-launch (a b*tch if the project is a big one).

What's weird is that some days, this never happens! But today, for instance, it hit me hard. Let me know if you figure it out. Good luck!

Welcome on this board ConureDude! :D
Unfortunately, I still didn't find an answer to my problem and everyone I've asked didn't have the problem so I started to doubt my workflow. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this now...

Tell if you have anything.

For me it was about the bad Combinator patch shut everything down.

So I've upgraded to Reason V4.

REwired:
If I alter a parameter with-in an instrument, the sound disappears.
The meters show something happening but no sound.
Man, this is pissing me off I've got work to do.
I'll write to Propeller heads.
I'll tell you what they say.

Yeah I know. Look at the bypass button on the combinator. That's what's been happening to me...

The bypass button for me too, and:

If the Combinator has the line mixer 6/2 in its configuration and I change the volume of input/channel 2 on it, the sound disappears.
I've switched the input of the line mixer for input 2 to input 3, the problem goes away.It happens only when the instrument is armed in DP. Does not happen in Reason 4 stand alone.

If you have time, I'd like to know if that happens in your system.

I've emailed PropHeads, I'll let you know of their response.

It should never happen in reason stand alone because it's only a MIDI loop from DP. If you enable MIDI Multi Record in DP, it won't happen. I didn't find a way to filter out MIDI information coming from Reason to DP only.
