16 bit OMF works not 24

I just found out that yesterday. I don't know what is the reason for this, but that was the only way I got it working. It's not ideal solution, but the job must be done.
Before 24 bit sequences opened nicely, my system is exactly same(DP4.61), only change is the OSX updates. I don't know what kind of Final Cut Pro version is in use, my guess is that 5.xxx something...
Must write to the MOTU of this.

That would explain why "some" OMFs won't import while others will. If I get an HD movie to score with a 24 bit OMF, no go. Indy films are usually standard res (with 16 bit audio) and they come in fine as OMF.
THANKS SO MUCH for the clarification!

You have to ask them export OMF as 16 bit file, then after sound editing you can bounce your mix as 24 bit...
