I don't know if this is possible, but can we please, Motu, have an update ( firmware or whatever) to allow the 8pre to work as a standalone interface and not just a converter. Sometimes I just want to play guitar or keyboard thru my monitors without having to turn on the Mac, but this is not possible at the moment.
In these days of environmental awareness, this small thing would help save a few watts power and cut my electricity bill at the same time
