radium 49 not working on macbook

Post by polabran »

I have a m-audio radium 49 that is not working in any program (dp5, reason 3, garageband).
I have uninstalled the m-audio usb drivers, re-installed the latest driver for radium 49 for mas osx 10.4.8 and it shows up in the system profiler and shows that a MIDI controller is installed in garageband but doesnt play a software instrument.
The controller also shows up in audio MIDI setup.
In reason, the auto detect will not find the keyboard and doesnt work even after manually adding it as m-audio radium 49 device.
In dp5, will not input MIDI data and will not control a software instrument.
I checked the keyboard in my ibook running 10.3.9 and it works fine.
Also, works in macbook when run from MIDI cable through a guitar rig2 controller.
Have tried removing preference files of everything involved and also have repaired permissions. Am I missing something here?
Any ideas -thanks in advance.

There's a special way to connect a usb controler.
If I remeber corectly, things are like creating a new device in audio-MIDI setup, and so on...
Check on Motu web support, there's a good explaination about that.

Hello !
In the audio and MIDI config , have you created a peripheral connected to you radium usb interface that you see there ?
