Freezing MIDI Instrument tracks

Post by Trachnyne »

I have a general question about Freezing Tracks. I have a song that I sequenced the drums on a roland MC-505 sequencer, and then recorded the MIDI to DP onto one MIDI Track. I used Battery as my virtual drum machine, and it sounds great. When I go to export my mix to burn to a disc, I have to freeze my drum track so it will export into the mix. At least that's the only way I was able to get it to work. Is there another option for this? And, as a subsequent question, is there anything wrong with freezing each individual drum to a separate audio track for more control over the mix?
