Hi,
I'm a DP user from few time. I come from software as Cubase and PT le. I find DP a very good program, and I work very much using graphic editor and quickscribe. I ask if is possible in DP to change the pitch of a MIDI note (in graphic or quickscribe editors) with the arrow key (Up down) as they are used to nudging the note position. I've try to do it in Command window but I cannot find the command to move up and down the notes. Many thanks

I want this too. I use Sibelius for leadsheets, and as faras I know all the other notation programs allow changing of pitch of the selected note by the up/down arrows.

I couldn't find how to do it either.

I don't think it's possible and I don't understand why. It's one of those things that makes DP the quirky app it is.

While we're on the topic, I'd also love a faster way to move notes or groups of notes from track to track in the graphic editor. The only way I know to do it is "split notes", which is a few too many keystrokes. It sure would be nice to be able to just drag (or option drag) to a track name in the track list.

I know you can do it in the sequence editor, but if you have more than a few tracks, everything's too small to work. And I know you can do it in the tracks window, but not one note at a time.

Getting off topic, but it's this kind of stuff that's making me take a much closer look at Sibelius 5 for film scoring. Very easy to move things from instrument to instrument there. And it appears to have a very rational way of dealing with keyswitching now, which DP doesn't. Managing keyswitches in DP for orchestral work is a nightmare!!!

I've never understood why we aren't allowed to do this in DP.

The left and right arrows shift the notes in time (the horizontal plane), so why, oh why don't the up/down arrows shift 'em in the vertical?

It would allow quick, precise pitch adjustments of only 1 to a few semitones whereas dragging 'em with the mouse can be finnicky and messy.

I send surely a message at that link. I' very grateful to all the friend that have been so sensible to this problem. The stabilty also is an important issue. Much more is the CPU consumption issue! We are going to buy a computer every one or two years to satisfy the marketing rules. If a program is well optimized let us work well and to search other way to spend our money... probably in a better way...
