MOTU Traveler - Knobs/Buttons do nothing???

Hi

I just bought my Traveler and I have installed the software and hooked up my new M-Audio EX66 nearfields, and my headphones. I have a Nuendo test project up and I am able to get audio recorded. I can adjust the levels using MOTU CueMix Console.

My problem is that I get nothing happening no matter what knob I turn or button I push on the unit itself. I really need to be able to turn up/down my monitors using the Volume knob. Pressing it to switch between headphones / monitor does nothing. HELP!

I'm looking for something about this in the manual (Windows XP) and saw nothing so far. It just says I can turn the knobs to enter values or use the Cuemix. If someone can direct me to the part of the manual that activates the physical knobs I would be greatly appreciative.

Also the only screen I can see on the unit is the "Gain / Mix1" screen on the left. The right screen has nothing lit up.

Thanks in advance.

Front Panel Dead?

OK maybe nobody has a solution to my problem, but can any Traveler users answer me this:

When you turn the MOTU Traveler on, does the right panel (In Levels / SPDIF, AES, Clock) next to the power button illuminate in any way?

I have nothing on that side, even though I'm plugged into channel 1 and getting signal. Still nothing I turn / push on the front panel has any effect.

Thanks

PS It's the same using bus power or DC.

Yes, you should get a clock rate LED. I don't use Windows and a Traveler, but your driver should select a clock rate, and that right-hand panel should then reflect the clock rate plus whatever inputs/outputs you choose.

I'm not getting anything under Clock.

Dang I wish MOTU would respond to teck questions. I could at least figure out if I have a bad unit or a bad brain.

Unit Defective

I finally got hold of MOTU.

The unit is defective. Audiomidi.com is sending me a new one today! MOTU wanted me to send them the defective one to fix - 10-15 business days - but I went with returning it to audiomidi.com. They are a great place to get gear. They do nice deals for returning customers. On a 3,350.00 order (street price mind you) I got 350.00 cut off. That's big time discount if you ask me.

Anyway, Boo MOTU - Yay AudioMidi.com!

Hopefully I'm be a Travelin' before too long.
