Syncing 2 DP's

Hi
I have been trying to use DP on a second machine to host Intakt and Kontakt. I can get it to lock up and chase tempo and bars but none of the tempo is passed onto the VI's or even DP plugins. Any ideas? Have tried all different ways to sync.

Are the tempo maps/Conductor Tracks the same in both computers?

Why use DP on both? Why not just have the MIDI tracks play out to your second computer and run the VI's in native mode. Then route the audio back into your main rig. I find this works pretty well without having to worry about syncing. I have an 828mkii and cue mix has no latency. Just a thougth.
Good luck.

No, I did not copy ove the files, that is a pain. I thought as DP was chasing the tempo, the VI's and Plugins would as well, but they don't!

I did end up running Kontakt stand alone as the hit on the CPU is way less then when it runs in DP. But I am running trilogy and it needs a host. The whole plan was to run Intakt and drums from that computer, but as the sync does not work I am now running them on my main machine. I do have it all going through cue mix and it works really well. I just want to have tempo info on the second mac, but without having to open any files. The reason is that I can't stand how long DP takes to open up VI's and also save so I wanted to get them all off my main machine.

Check out Stienberg's V-Stack to run muliple VI's under one "roof" so to speak.
It's great for saving a bunch of different VI settings for a session as one file as opposed to a bunch of seperate ones....it has mixing, effects, & sync capability too.

Yeah, kind of a pain. But if the computers are networked, a clipping of the conductor track can be transfered over pretty quickly.

I'm new to the VI world.... And I'm finding all the memory and processor problems everyone else has.
Syncing two or more computers sounds great..... Where do I start? What do I need? How, what where when etc etc etc etc...
Any help would be appreciated.

Steinberg has VStack listed as a product (and with a photo that has the Mac OSX logo). BUT I CAN'T FIND IT FOR SALE ANYWHERE!
Does it exist for OSX?

Above is the link to buy OSX V-stack on-line as a download. Just in case you or anyone else is still looking for this... I had a hell of a time finding it. The trick is, that you can only buy it through their German site. They don't list it on the American site. But the page is in english......
If that link doesn't work, just go to their German site......
I was doing a search here and ran across this thread and thought I'd put it out there for future searches.......... cuz it's a bit "needle in the hey stack" finding the OSX version on-line as a download.
late.......

I just wanted to update and correct my earlier post. V-Stack can NOT sync with DP. It only syncs with Cubase or Nuendo which is how I had run it, and I mistakenly assumed that it would sync to any DAW. I was wrong though.
I've been using Brainspawn's Forte along with DP. It syncs and works well enough, but it's a PC only app.
One thing you could try that my neighbor is doing, is to use Live as a VI host. He has it set up on a seperate computer and it was syncing up pretty tightly from what I saw. You could have it double as an external loop arranger with this setup too...

DSP Quatro will host VI's and AU plugins in realitime/with real time fx routing, etc. I bought it as a wave editor but it's "project" structure and real time uses are pretty awesome....and it's realatively cheap....
