Hang on rewind? (DP 5.12)

So, I've started running into issues - I'm not sure whether it's a specific project or a problem with DP itself.
I can make DP 5.12 beachball pretty reliably with 2 or 3 clicks of the rewind button while the transport is playing.
The project is 15-20 tracks of audio, with a number of plugins and (disabled) VIs instantiated.
Can't tell you more than that. Anyone experience this?
Me too...

Hello,
i installed the 5.12 update 2 days ago. While fixing some really natsy bugs with plugins and running "snappier" i also have the spinning ball.
It occoured when:
-pressing rewind while playing
-"undo recording" and rewind
..more to come, i‘m afraid..
The Program does not crash, bur the spinnin‘ball comes without apparent reason. cpu does nothing. Just stands there and waits for "force quit".
Thats Suuper-Cool especially when a client peeks over your shoulder and it happens 6-8 times in a extensive 4:30 hour working session.
I currently have my fingers hovering over "Apple-S" all the time and try to remember pressing it after every important step.
****************************************************
PLEASE MOTU!!
GIVE US AN "AUTOSAVE every x min."-function.
PLEEEASEEE!!!
****************************************************
Even Microsoft Office has this thing. That would‘ve saved me hours of work.
So with 5.12 some things were getting better, but despite the cool functions of DP5 i already miss the stability of 4.6...

Yes I have noted this problem in another thread

I my case if I click stop and rewind immediately after, DP will freeze as you describe. Doesn't happen if I wait a second or two and doesn't happen if I use keyboard shortcuts or my SAC - only with mouse clicks. Such a pain to have to remember these little bugs and Apple s constantly, but hey - it's still possible to get work done as long as you can keep those urges under control.

"Auto Save DP" is your friend, y'all.

Just had a hang when I used my keyboard to stop the transport.
I'm gonna have to go back to 5.11 and see if that helps my problem for now.

It appears that 5.11 has this problem too.
HOWEVER...it also appears that this may be due to plugins rather than a problem inherent in either version of DP. I removed all of my plugins, and I've been pressing Rewind for the last 20 minutes while the transport is running, and no beachball.
Doing the auto-stop test now, but I suspect I'll have similar results.
To the two of you experiencing this, would you mind stating what plugins you have? I've actually been on a spree lately and may have picked up either a bad demo plug or perhaps there's something going on with my iLok device (a fairly new addition as well).

And after doing some more troubleshooting - including removing all plugins one by one in my project, I hav determined that it is a single plugin - CamelSpace - that is causing the hanging on the transport on either a rewind or auto-stop.
I removed the offending plugin and everything is back to its normal self again.
My problems were due to a rogue plugin! WOOT! NOT Digital Performer!
