Are you using ASIO drivers? How much memory do you have? Seperate audio drive?

Be sure you get the latest drivers from the MOTU website. In preferences, you should be able to set driver type to ASIO, then your Audio Device should show as MOTU ASIO, or something like that. You can then use the Hardware setup to configure the latency. Start it at 1024, and work your way down to see how low you can go with your PC.

If you're not getting sound in ASIO mode, then theres a driver issue. Install the newest one on the website and see if that helps.

Im having that same problem--No sound coming out when using ASIO eventhough i have the latest drivers!

Sound comes out the headphones but not the main outs..

Any clue?

Sounds like routing

check your routing. You should be able to get a headphone mix and a separate mix for your main outs. These are not necessarily the same mix. The gear is designed so that you can run a number of main mixes and a number of headphone mixes. At least that is the basis of MOTUs mix routing.

Please read the rest of the posts reagrding MOTU ASIO driver. I have been studying them all week because I can't get anything out of the MOTU ASIO driver no matter driver I use.

Like I said, check the ther posts related to MOTU ASIO and Firewire. I have done a lot of testing over tha last week on this. If you have a RICOH Firewire chipset then forget it, becuase it won't work with MOTU ASIO. I found out the hard way after I bought the new computer!

When you switched to ASIO drivers, did you also selected the "11/12" Asio channels, as the output on your master ?

This is the default one for DAW programs.

I think this may be the solution for not getting sound with ASIO

...xcuse my poor english ...

If you're using ASIO drivers, route your master out to 11/12. For some reason, Ableton sees 11/12 as your main outs. Once you do this, you should hear sound.

Whoops! Sorry, I didn't read the post directly above mine...

What HE said ^^^ :)
