MOTU 2408's NOT COMMUNICATION WITH CUBASE SX

I had a crash while working and now my two Motu units 2408mk1 & 2408mk3 will not work with Cubase SX. My computer says that the Motu units are working properly but Cubase does not recognize them. I have tried un-installing then re-installing the Motu units (drivers & 424PCI Card) but that has not worked.
When I try installing the Motu with the CD-ROM, my computer does not allow it because I'm running Windows XP and my 2408 CD-ROM only knows Windows 98 & 95. Everything was working beautifully with XP before the crash so I know they will work with XP. I'm waiting on tech support from Motu but you know how that can be. Also, Motu doesn't answer their tech support phone so I've had no help from them.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
