Frame Problem

I am composing a sound track for a German movie. The shooting was done in 24 frames. Postproduction in Germany, however, works with 25 frames. Therefore, when transfer is done, one frame per second is doubled, resulting in 25 pictures. Composers and sounddesigners all work with 25 frames, one of which is duplicated.
I am currently working with a quicktime.dv file. When I open this file with Quicktime Pro I can hardly see the duplicate frame. When I open the same file with Digital Performer and start playing I can clearly see this frame in the Quicktime Window, the picture gets jammed. If I send the picture through the Canopus ADVC to my tv-monitor I get a real interference on the monitor when playing the duplicate frame. Who can help???
