BCR2000 controlling the faders of the cue mix of my 828MK2

Hello all,

It sounds simple and easy i'sn't it? I simply want to control the faders of the cue mix by connecting the BCR2000 to the MIDI ports of the 828, then select these ports and have a go, I hope:D

Do I need to install specific software in order to get this work or will the BCR recognise the cue mix immediately?

Anyone?

Thanks.

I am trying to do the same thing. CueMix has default configurations for HUI, Mackie Control, Mackie Control Exp, and SAC-2K. But what if you have something else?

Doesn't the bcr have a MCU emulation template?

I know there's an emulation mode on the BCF2000 (faders) but I have the BCR2000 (rotary). I'm trying to set it up so that Preset 1 on the BCR maps each of the rotary controls on a volume level on Bus 1. Preset 2 would map to Bus 2. Etc.

I've been able to do this with the "Learn" mode on the BCR, so I'm ok there for the moment.

My next problem is that is seems like the Control Surface can only control Bus 1 mix, not the other busses. Does this sound right, or am I missing something?

Getting so close!

You might need to find a way to change bank. Here's a list of MCU MIDI Message.

Dwet,

Thanks for the attention. I think it's on the CueMix side rather than the control surface side. When I use the mouse to slide the faders up and down in Bus 1, I can see that there's MIDI traffic going out of the PC to the control surface. But if I switch to Bus 2, I don't see any MIDI out from the PC when I'm slide the soft faders up and down. So that says to me that CueMix doesn't let you control anything that's not in Bus 1.

I hope I'm wrong.
