Using digi 002 as audio interface, I have trouble with DP 4.52 to use the digital spdif. Core audio trouble bla bla bla.

Anyone using digi 002 ?

Also, are you running MAS or DAE with the 002 ??

Well, this must be core audio 2.0 and i'm running on the MAS system using Digi setup and I have added DP in the supported apps. I've downloaded the new digi setup but it is not working with DP 4.5 for the moment it seems.

I found this method of using the digital (ADAT) i/o of my digi 002 to work. I opened Pro Tools LE (6.7) and changed the clock setting under the hardware dialog to digital, saved the session, closed PT, opened DP, and voila. Even though the DP clock setting was "internal", i.e. "digital" could not be selected, the settings under PT took precedence and the ADAT i/o locked to my digital mixer. Try it!

I'm glad to have stumbled across this thread. I've been having similar problems and posting about them at the Digidesign User Conference:

002 Word Clock Issue Stumps Six Tech Support Guys!

(Note: I post as soapbox over there.)

Jim, I was beginning to suspect that I should trust my ears rather than my eyes. I'll try your suggestion the next time I track in Digital Performer.

Best,

Geoff

Well there are quite wired things with DP 4.52 and 002. I updated Panther and digidesign core audio driver.

Things are better but still strange. It seems we can record with the digital from changing it from protools first. BUT how wired !

It seems that there is no radical issue. Thanks anyway.
