All UB versions I have used on my MacBook Pro have the same problem. Standalone MSI crashes unexpectedly, usually when just playing keyboard directly to MSI with no other apps open.
In plugin mode MSI has given no problems but I wouldnt go to any live event with this buggy app. as standalone.

Anyone else experiencing crashes with standalone MSI?

(using 1.1.3, still same problem as before)

What kind of controller/MIDI interface are you using? Maybe the controller is sending a bunch of data that's getting filtered out by the host when you're using it as a plug-in (beat clock, MTC, something like that), and that extra data is overwhelming MSI somehow?

This is not the case. I have used 3 different keyboards. MSI also quits sometimes when sending MIDI data from Finale via IAC bus. No keyboard involved.
It is also not an audio interface problem. Have tested with a few.
