the wait is over... (not really)

sorry to tease...I'm using kontakt 2 fulltime now (so I've given up waiting) , it's very solid and does everything I can think of needing: rex support (multiple rexed loops in one pallette) imports old mach V presets (although the panning is a bitfunky).

I have almost 200 sound banks in Mach V (libraries I've imported and many sfx pallettes for sound design) and it's been great but this 2 1/2 years later with no version 2 is just infuriating  I wished and hoped it would come but my whole studio is moving over to kontak 2 now. We're held hostage with G5's, we can't move to UB with Mach V so see ya later...(we invested in 4 applications of mach V in the last couple of years).

thanks Motu, you smell. (DP is awesome though, nice work on that :D )

I've changed the subject header to the thread. I think you'll still get enough people to read this thread without a header designed to fool them into doing so.

When MOTU tech support asked me if I wanted to be on the waiting list for MachFive v.2, I had moved to Kontakt 2.2 and was recording a project. It might be nice to have them both if MachFive v.2 becomes a reality.('')

I have been using Kontakt2 since it came out. It has a lot of features but it is very buggy. I'd put it to share second and third place with MSI after MakeMusic! Finale.
The biggest bug I have found so far is that the Tone Machine is not working properly in plugin mode (distortion in sound). Took 3 weeks of correspondence until NI aknowledged this as a bug.

Of course Kontakt2 is a master in crashing the whole DP setup. This happpens often with some specific opreations.
