Axiom 49 -> DP5 VI lag

Just got an Axiom 49 (affordable, wanted faders, knobs, pads,
etc.) and was trying it with DP5 VI's and there's a considerable
lag in response time. Tried lowering the buffer to as low as it
can go and Use CoreMIDI patch-thru is set in the Preferences
but it's still slow. Using a MacBook 2Ghz with 2G of RAM.

Am I missing something? (guessing the answer is a resounding
YES!)

Hi, I just bought the Axiom 25 and I had the same problem.

Do you have the USB and MIDI in/out cables connected ? I also noticed I was generating double notes because I had them both hooked up. I disconnected the MIDI cables and I just have MIDI through USB. No lag or double notes ,now.

I'm not sure if thats you're case, but stated just in case.

Yeah, just go USB. I have the 61 and it's working great for me that way.

Hmm I just bought a Axiom 25 and it works perfect not much lag (I'm using it for live playing), and at this moment I use my MacBook internal soundinterface and the axiom is connected to it via USB...

I use it with DP 5.11 as host for Reason 3 and I also use NI's B4 and Absynth.

Got buffer set at 64...

MIDI - USB?

Hi, I'm just new here... I'm sorry if this question seems a litle bit dumb... :oops:

I just have a question, right now I have an axiom 49 conected to the ultralite MIDI in/out ports, when you talk about USB connection, are you talking about direct Desktop or Laptop connection??

Thanks in advance.
