Can I change multiple file ext at once?

Post by mike_o »

I just recently switched to a macpro from a g4 running os9.1, when I transfered all my audio (35GB), it lost all file extensions, so far I am adding them in manually as I rebuild each song in DP, is there a way to select a group of files and add an extension to all of them?

not directly from the Finder, but if you look in your AppleScripts folder (in the Applications folder) there is a script called 'Add to File Names' (Applications/AppleScript/Example Scripts/Finder Scripts/Add to File Names.scpt) which might do the trick.
