hey folks,
best wishes to everyone here for 2007, wish you lots of work, great tones and no DP crashes!!

i have a little problem with my DP 5.11, i sometimes use the para EQ plugins, pretty helpfull sometimes.. let's say i use it into a project then close it and open another one, and these plugins have disappeared, impossible to find it in DP and MW EQ is recalled "(mono) on the top of the menu chosen from the inserts.
also the name of the other plugins used do not appear in the inserts..
pretty boring, it does not crash but i can't use para eq anymore... any ideas?
the only solution i found is to reinstall DP 5.11 upgrade..

thanks,

steev

First, let me get it straight. You're saying that DP is losing track of its plugins? When you open another file, the plugins are lost? And by that, we mean that when you click on a blank insert, there are no lists that drop down?

Ok, next question. Do you have more than one copy of DP on your hard drives? Could the other file be opening another (possibly older) copy of DP?

Do you install DP into the same folder as all your other applications? On the same drive as OSX?

I've never seen that behavior, so I'm just venturing a few guesses. Keep us posted on what you discover.

I was also told that it's better to trash the old plug-ins (or at least move away) before installing DP5. Because the new ones aren't erasing them. Especially if you had them all sorted in folders.

hello,

DP is on my main hard drive with all the other aplications, in the application folder.
i have in that folder DP5, DP 5.1 and DP 5.11, but only DP 5.11 is used.

actually when i work on a project doesn't matter if i use some plugins or not, and Para EQ appears in the plugins window, if i close that project to open another one, Para EQ plugin (and only this one) would not appear any more in my plugins list.
i realize that it started happening when i installes Melodyne Cre8.

about the insert thing, if i click on it a list drops down but yesterday, a plugin was used on a track and didn't show it's name in the insert.

also, before installing DP5, i had no other plugins than the originals:

thanks for help,

Steev

Hello Steve.
I've send you a PM in french. The missing para eq syndrom is related to language of the OS. Let me know if it works

Hello,

The missing ParaEQ phenomenon is happening on my system as well.
My OS language is german, if that is of any relevance.

When opening Konsole i get the following error:

"no MotuPluginTypeUUID valueCouldnt get factory"
found a way to get it back. I use OnyX to clean the kernel, user and system cache. After that i have to reboot and then everything works a before.

Very strange....

I‘m having he same trouble on my system (only on my Macbook pro), and anything seems to fix the problem: using onyx, cleaning and repairing, changing OS language (mine is spanish)... If I delete the masterworks eq bundle the paraEq is avaliable, but with no name in the menu...

Could it be an osX problem?

Has anyone found a solution?

Thanks!

Same problem here,
Para EQ is no more in my plugin list.
I try to empty the MAS plugin folder leaving only the Para EQ inside,
the DP Plugin Menu now show the Para EQ with no names
(impossible to use)
Any Help?

I had the problem too when I was running OSX in Dutch.
Changing to English solved the problem.

If it's "missing", it's actually not missing, but nameless in the top of your plugin list.

But as far as I have experienced: the language....
