The Nomad factory group buy at Don't Crack is fast approaching 50% off.
http://store.dontcrack.com/group-buy/
There's less than 8 days to go on the way to a possible 60% discount on the various bundles - if you haven't looked at this it's time to do so.
The plugs are available for a 10 day fully functional demo at:
http://www.nomadfactory.com/downloads/index.html
I waited until there was less than 10 days left on the group buy, installed the demos and started using them - that way, if I liked them, I wouldn't have any wasted time on a project when the demos expired. I signed up to the group buy pretty well straight away after that - these plugs are very nice.

I happily used the ten day demo of the new Analog Track Box. No problems with install or AU validation. Not a big CPU hit either - seems like pretty clean coding.

I particularly liked the single/dual triode tube modes for different colors and drive amounts. I'm in the buy. I need a channel strip instead of clogging up three inserts with separate compressor and eq plugs for every track.

never mind, i thought they'd just run in demo mode, but i see i have to authorize the demo, all working fine now.....

I'm using the Analog Signature Pack and BlueTubes 3 bundle with DP 5.11 and they're working great. Good sound, reasonably light on the CPU, and nice to look at, for whatever that might be worth.
I see the group buy just hit 60% off! I would have gotten in on it if I hadn't already bought the two bundles before the group buy started.
I'm sure flashgerkin will be along soon to praise the BlueTube EQs, at least. His tests got me interested in the first place.

Like a champ :D

I've been using these plugs since 2002 in my cubase, OS9 days. I think v1.6 covered OS9 and X. 3 years later I qualified for the $99 upgrade to v2 when a late revision of Panther finally broke v1.6.

The v3 EQ pack keeps me smiling.
I used the Baxandall eq and the Brickwall limiter (along with PSP plugs) recently to master a local musicians 2 track mixes. On a whim, I replaced the MasterQ (which is awesome!!!) with the BX2S. A twiddle of the high and low knobs dialed in "the sound". Everyone was happy.

I think NomadFactory is underrated. Good to see that they reached their target with the group buy. Good thing for the buyers :D

I'd like to thank everyone for turning me onto this group buy...

I used to use Blue TUbes in OS 9 and they were amazing..then I noticed they were gone from OSx for a LONG time...

ANyone here have anybackground data on what happened , what was done to bring them to OSx and how stable they are now in OSx?

Ends in a bit, way over the 300 folks now and still counting, which may lead to extra discounts.

I am definitely picking up the Composer Tools Bundle at $143, but I *may* make the jump to Vintage Studio Bundle. Not sure yet. Going to sleep on it as money is a little tight right now.

How does this stuff compare to Waves? Is it largely repeated in Waves, or are there enough unique plugins to make this a genuinely worthwhile buy? What are the most recommended plugins of this company? I'm thinking about getting in on it, but I don't want to get something that just duplicates other things that I already have.

Hi Shoosh,
I'll be getting the Vintage Studio bundle which will add nicely to my Waves plugs with no cross-over (apart from an extra reverb, which is always handy anyway). I've been using the demos for the last week and a bit and I signed up pretty well as soon as I heard them.
So if you go for the $359 bundle you should be happy - the more expensive bundles include plugs you've already got covered in Waves.
How's the mobility factor coming along Shooshie?
Cheers,
Dave
