Well my 828MKII works flawlessly as it always has..
Does everything the advertising says it should as it always has..

It doesnt crash.. Our band is getting our album done with it as we speak..

Is there something they left out of the Ultralite? Is everyones crashing left and right?

Dont see any reason for them to update things yet unless a new OS has come out or its a specific fix for a known and repeatable bug you need, but I dont know, if the windows drivers were broken and it was rather widespread, you would think there would be a lot more said about it...

1.doesnt affect me (mostly new users) is Firewire interface compatibility is very limited. (maybe firmware).

2.I want Vista 64 drivers, Vista has already been officially released.

P.S

I don't care if other manufacturers have not released them yet, I only care about MOTU.

No Vista hasnt been officially released..

Vista has been released to MANUFACTURERS.. Meaning, Dell and HP now have the RTM release so they can begin making their new bundle cds with the new OS.. Along with us at work who have an MSDN/Technet subscription.

The general public will not have access to Vista until January 17th, if all goes as planned.

MOTU's more than likely got drivers ready to go, alot of my XP stuff is still running just fine.. But you can bet they wont release them until the public release hits..

I wonder though if you write or call em if perhaps they would clue folks in and maybe let some people test the drivers...

I second mothra. Never really had any probs with their drivers. But then again, I'm on a mac. It seems window users are the ones that tends to have issues.

Are there even any DAWs which are officially supported under Vista right now ... ?

Well iTunes cant even function correctly under Vista at the moment..
Quicktime crashes just using the Aero GUI.
Id hate to see an audio recording app right now hehe.

I wouldnt exactly put my faith in it right now, especially if I was using it with my 'business' and counted on it to bring in money..
Such is the price for having 'latest and greatest syndrome'..
