Hello people, we have a little studio in spain. We need help to configure fine our devices. We need to configure 1 MOTU 896 + 1 MOTU 896HD + MACKIE CONTROLLER + 1 M-AUDIO MIDISPORT 8X8 AND CUBASE SX3. We need to SYNCRONISE 896hd + 896 and we would like to work with 16 channels ( 8 + 8 ) in Cubase Sx3.

We have connected 896hd(MASTER) optical IN with 896 optical OUT(SLAVE) to have (8 + 8 channels) in Cubase SX3 and the Word Clock we dont know how to configure it.

Otherwise, we want that we open a new project in Cubase the mackie's controls sets good in their positions.

Excuse me because my english is not good. We need to record with 12 channels at least to this afternoon.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

hi, i'm form argentina, so if you'd like to ask in spanish go ahead. Mean while, i recomend you to set the world clock of the 896hd (master) to internal, and the one of the 896(slave) to adat. that way, the slave will synchronize to the master throw the adat lightpipe. An other way of doing this clock chain is by using the word clock BNC conector on both units: in this case you must set the slave to word clock in, and the master as internal, and connecto the bnc out of master to bnc in of slave. About the MCU I don't know what is exactluty the problem... anyway, just ask..
Hope that helps...
Bye
