Can't type text into M5--help!

I'm using mach 5 v1.2.3 on a mac and everything works fine. However yesterday I created a new soundbank and tried to rename it (from New Soundbank) but I cannot type any text. I can highlight the name, but when I type, nothing happens. This is happening for all text, including gain values, etc. No text can be typed in.
Any help is appreciated.

FYI if anyone is interested:
After doing a couple of tests, I realized the problem came from an issue between Machfive and Cubase4. The problem does not occur in Cubase SX3.
