Getting a Movie to open in the Song Mode

Hi,
I am working on a soundtrack and have created a number of sequences, put them into the Song mode --- but I can't get the movie window to open while I'm playing the song .... My whole point is to see the entire film with the score to see how the piece works as a whole ---- Any help out there?
thanks

Sorry, you can't do it. At least not in the current version of DP.

The way I get around it is to have a sequence of the whole film which I use as an overview. When I get a cue to a 'demo-able' state. I do a quick mix/bounce, then spot that audio file into the overview sequence using the time-stamp to put it in the right place.

It's actually quite a handy way of working, because it then enables you to move it around and experiement without messing with your original sequence.

I'm glad to see this issue on this board. The ability to have the movie up in song mode is an important feature missing in DP that I hope will be addressed in future upgrades. It's much easier to score cues using individual chunks but it's necessary to be able to quickly setup a song to screen the whole movie with music so you can get your client's or director's feedback. Clifford's suggestion while functional seems impractical to me if you're dealing with many sequences with many tracks and time is an issue. That's a lot of bouncing and tweaking.
