DP 4.52 won't start after upgrade from OSX 10.2.6 to 10.4.6

Hi,

I was running my DP 4.52 system on a Mac G4 OSX 10.2.6 with PCI-424 and two 2408mk2s.

Today I upgraded to OSX 10.4.6

I also upgraded to the current pcix_1.1.0 PCI driver.

The PCI audio console and CueMix consoles both started up fine and seemed to work fine.

When I started DP 4.52, it scanned my AU stuff then said it was missing an extension and would transfer me to the PACE website. I don't have a network out to my studio so I went to my house and went the Motu site, found a link to the PACE website and downloaded the latest ilok software for OSX 10.4.6 (Tiger).

After installing that DP started up, acted normally until I tried to play back and existing session or tried to record a new session. It then quits with:

"The Application Digital Performer quit unexpectedly"

I've power cycled everything, rebooted several times, tried to play back session from various hard disks on my system and the same thing keeps happening.

What can I do?

Thanks,

Remove and reinstall the app.

you might also try the 1.0.8 424 driver.

Updating DP from 10.3 (Panther) to 10.4 (Tiger)

If you are using Digital Performer under a Panther (10.3) system and you update to Tiger (10.4), the following procedure is recommended after you complete the Tiger update:

Trash your DP 4.52 application (just the application itself, found in Applications/MOTU DP4.5 Folder)

Then reinstall DP 4.52 (either from your 4.52 installer disc or from the 4.52 updater, which installs a complete application).

Failure to do so may result in a DP 4.52 crash while playing or recording under Tiger.
