896 + 24i/PCI-324?

I am running a PCI-324/24i but need some extra lines for a live performance. A friend has an 896 that I can borrow for an extra 8 inputs.

Does anyone know if I can run these together and what the clock sync issues are going to be?

If it makes a difference, I am running PC/SONAR4.
