Restore deleted Digital Perfomer Files?

Post by Kawentzmann »

A couple of days ago I worked on files that I had stored on an external harddrive. I copied them to my computer and worked on them. Then I only kept an applelossless file for iTunes and copied the whole DP projects back to the external harddrive.
Well, that harddrive is now completely lost due to malfuntions in the board or the motor. I won••™t take the cost of repairing it, and I had backed up that music to DVD-R a while ago.
But is there a way to recreate those DP files on my computer? It••™s about a week••™s work of finetuning.
I checked with FileSalvage trial, but it is only finding AIFFs, not DP files unfortunately.

Thanks,

KK

You could try ProSoft Datarescue II, which I've had good success with, but it will depend on how much activity you've had on your disk and if the sectors with the DP file have been overwritten.
